[Oh, hey. His roomie. Once-ler wonders if he's going to be joining him on the boat, and so holds it steady and waits for him to clamber in.]

Me? Scared? Heh. [He gives a little laugh. It sounds kind of self-depreciating.] Only some of the time.

[Clamber? Never.

...Well, maybe a bit. New, unfamiliar body coupled with a boat does make him incredibly ungainly and he sits as soon as he's able, looking much more flustered than he'd have liked.]

I'm not frightened by this place. I won't allow myself to be intimidated in such a crude fashion.

[triggeringbiggering]

[The Once-ler flops in beside him, giving a faint 'heh' of laughter again.]

I remember when I thought like that.

[The boat starts to move off.]

Don't you laugh at me. Some of us are made of sterner stuff.

[It gets dark alarmingly quickly once they pass into the tunnel, and though Sakuya can't see much and assumes the other man can't either, he does his best not to look nervous.

In the distance, there's a faint caw.]

[He sits bolt upright in the boat at that sound, not even about to reply to Sakuya's comment.]

.... What was that?

[musicolombe]

I-it sounded like a crow. My butler was a crow, you know; they're not so frightening.

[He had started, though, and there was a waver in his voice. So it was a bit ominous. So what?]

[triggeringbiggering]

[Poor Once-ler. When you're old and sad and alone, the crows will be the only living things for miles around. For now though, they can be plenty concerning. Until he remembers...]

Crows? They - they're pretty helpful here, actually. Whew. [He huffs out a sigh of relief.]
