Oh my, doesn't this look fun!

[Viola picks up a mallet.]

[Fun is Jack's middle name. This carnival is pretty weird, but some of the games look harmless enough, like this one. He approaches the little girl and taps her on the shoulder.]

Hey there. Mind if I watch?

[wearefriends]

[She looks up at him and gives him a bright smile. The mallet in her hand combined with that smile makes her look like a regular little lady getting her first chance to have mindless fun at a carnival.]

Of course! I've never played, so I hope I'll do just fine!

[frostweaver]

[He smiles back, because kids = adoration.]

Sure you will! Just take your time, don't rush, and most important of all, have fun.

[As he says this, he pokes her on the nose, a twinkle of frost glittering around her eyes. It's hard not to have fun when the Guardian of fun is enabling you to do so, such is Jack's power.]

[That's very pretty. Viola smiles at him, pleasure and wonder shining in her eyes, before she turns back to the game board. She gives a little gasp of delight.] That one looks like you!

Ow! That hurt! [He's mad for a second, rubbing his head as the pain dies down.] Why on earth did...

["That one looks like you!" ...]

Woah, kid! Wait! [He gestures with his hands for her to cut it out.] I felt that!

[She's already bringing the mallet down on Yosuke Hanamura's head. Sorry, Yosuke! Migraine time.]

Hm?

[frostweaver]

Stop stop! [He waves his hands some more.] When you hit that little guy, I- I felt it! It was like you were hitting me!

What? [She frowns at him - is he crazy?

No, she knows he's saying the truth. She just keeps that to herself.

And brings the mallet down on Peko's head.]

That's silly! Look, I'm doing so good...!

[frostweaver]

[He hops over to her and gently takes hold of the mallet, stopping her from bringing it down again.] Yeah, you're doing great, but... [Stopping the fun, ugh, so not his style.]

Maybe you need to hit 'em a little softer? [Because compromise?]

[BANG. Enjoy that headache, Mika.

She pouts at him.]

But if I modulate my strikes, I might not hit them all!

[He covers his face with his hand and peeks awkwardly through his fingers at the mallet massacre. Well, it is kind of funny, he guesses, giggling a stifled laugh. Maybe he should just let her finish? A few headaches here and there are a small price to pay for a child's happiness... Or something?]
