01 Let The Tour Begin
[ WHO ]: Eddie Riggs and you!
[ WHERE ]: Wandering the streets.
[ WHEN ]: Daylight hours, Sept 12th.
[ OPEN/CLOSED? ]: Open!
[ RATING ]: (G, PG, etc.) PG-13?
[ WARNINGS ]: Eddie's foul language and poor life choices.
[ NOTES ]: Eddie decides its time to really poke around this haunted town, this could end poorly.
Even if the urge tugged at the back of his mind, Eddie stayed earth bound. He wanted to fly up and peer at everything, but Mika's warning rattled around his head enough to keep him here. Old worn out sneakers beating a path across the less decrepit ground.
He has his axe already in hand, listening to the quietness as he walked through the fog. It was hard not to be on the defensive with what he had seen and what he heard from people already. Nothing was a comforting sound or sight about now.
"Another normal day, wanderin' round in hell town, enjoyin' the sights, the people- you know, havin' a grand ole time," He mumbled lowly to himself as he walked, feeling strange at the stillness that came with the town's atmosphere.
He missed the life he had grown used to. Even in the Doom territory it wasn't this dead. There was always something going on. Usually he would have been called a poser by now and attacked with a shovel. Those were the days. When he didn't have to worry about going it alone in a strange place. He had Ironheade to back him, even then, zombies weren't generally- scary, as much as they were a pain in the neck.
Eddie wasn't sure if he could get used to it, not that he had a choice in the matter really. He was here and he was gonna poke around to see if he could maybe scrounge up supplies or just figure out this place.

Whatever it is, the creature moves along the streets, swathed in the mist and the foul air of the town. It seems to be heading in the direction of the hospital.

He stays quiet and low, hand clutching onto his axe as he moves to trail after the creature. He's smart enough to keep his distance though, he'd rather not be noticed just yet.

There's no sound but for the dull, wet smack of its flesh as it rearranges itself with every bound. The mist gives everything a soft, fuzzed look to it. Even without ghosts and strange monsters, the place is the quintessential ghost town.
The three story high hospital looms out of the darkness, the street lights on either side flickering and doing their best to disperse the swirling mist.

He keeps an attentive ear on the fleshy wet sounds hitting the pavement of the streets around them. His eyes still focused on the surroundings as he trailed after the creature. He'd really rather not be surprised about now.
With the hospital getting closer and closer, Eddie's mentally going over what the hell he'll do if he's trapped with the thing he's following. At most he's curious to see what it's up to, for something so inhumane, it seems very focused on getting the hospital.

It's extremely dark inside, but there is enough light from outside to show up the shape of a morgue. Most of the slabs are empty but for the toe tags, but there's at least one shape laying on one.
The monster heads for that.

The fit is tight, almost tight enough to make Eddie reconsider following whatever this was, but he drops the thought as soon as it hits him. He's come this far, leaving now would just be a waste of time.
Eddie keeps a solid distance, though he has to squint to see what the monster is doing. He for sure knows he doesn't want to get caught within reach of the damn thing. So he ducks behind a downed rusty gurney outside in the hallway leading to the morgue. Not the perfect place, but he can see well enough there.

A midnight snack, then.

'Holy fuckin' shit,' Runs through his mind as he stays still. In his freaked out state, he's likely to have made some faint noise. He is a big guy after all.

There at least isn't a sound of chewing, or any crunching of bones. It's like the monster just swallows the corpse deep inside of it and... well, absorbs it. Its form ripples for a moment, and then it looks in Eddie's direction.
Assuming it may be a resident coming down the hall, Double makes a mistake. She transforms back into her nun form.
The monster seems to be swallowed up by a larger mouth until it reveals a skirt, hips, torso, head, and then the sweet face of the nun. Double smiles and looks suitably chagrined.
"Is someone there?"
no subject
He sure isn't moving anywhere now. He's hoping the sound is played off as a rat or just ghosts moving around the hallway outside of the morgue itself. Eddie doesn't want to see what would happen if he showed off the fact he knew what Double actually is.
no subject
"Is someone there?" She repeats. Her voice retains a slight echoing quality.
no subject
Whether or not it works, depends on whether Double actually goes to investigate the sound herself. The roadie isn't sure if revealing he knows is a wise idea or not. He would rather not risk it.

Jack flew down and hovered behind Eddie, letting a jolt of frost fly from his staff and up the mans back like an icy finger.]

You looked like you needed cooling off.
