[Her head is lying back in her own apartment, the long black locks slowly turning to gold. There is no safe place to contain it right now, and she can only hope it will be all right for her getting back to it.]

[Her entire body is flesh, now. She is not wearing her shift. The only thing she has with her is her butcher's knife, held securely in the flesh at the end of her arm. She hasn't quite got the hang of hands just yet, but she's getting close.]

[Up and down the corridors she goes, her feet making little sticking sounds as she walks. Every so often, she'll stop, listen, and then collapse into a puddle and attempt to slither under the door of an apartment.]

[Maybe you've just seen her do this. Or maybe you'll wake up to find her staring down at you while you sleep.]

[Who knows.]

[Visi giggles. She stands, and then immediately falls into her puddle form. She slithers under Kotomi's bed, then back out and reforms.]

All Fleshchildren can do this, of course!

She spaces out at it for what's most likely literally a minute or two before she finally speaks up again. ]

I've never seen Fleshchildren before, but.. you seem pretty amazing.

[Visi isn't able to blush, but she holds her little meaty hands together below her face and the flesh around her mouth changes - she's smiling. Proud.]

Thank you. I'll be even more amazing when I'm complete and just like you, though.

I hope you'll be able to become complete then.

[ It probably helps that Kotomi even thinks of some humans as seperate from other humans, like bullies, so.. Fleshchildren are basically like that to her, really. It's why she smiles as if nothing's up here. ]

[That makes her giggle.] I'm glad I came in here tonight!

[Taking a seat back on the bed, she settles down at the edge.] Have you been bothered much by the ghosts here?

[ Kotomi sits up more properly in her bed too, so she can at least lean her back against something. TOTALLY NORMAL SLUMBER PARTY, RIGHT. She looks comfortable enough, at least, until she hears the question and looks a little more unsure as she nods. ]

They're sort of scary.. I think. Sometimes it's like I can hear them at night..

[Has there ever been a more normal slumber party? I can't think of one! Visi leans back until her back touches the wall.] Yes. They are a little startling, like the dolls in my room. They move, you know. Of their own accord.

.. There's dolls in your room? [ Huh. There aren't any here, although.. ] Sometimes strange stuff happens here too.. I wonder if all of the rooms are like this.

[carneouspuella]

Lots of dolls, [Her face, from what expression can be made out on it, is grave.] Porcelain and rubber and wooden, all lining the walls and moving on their own. Sometimes I can see them move, if I watch.

[She turns over her arms, looking at the tips of her forelimbs.] I used to be able to turn into a doll, when I dreamed. They're so very nearly perfect... I was envious, I think.

... But now I'm just talking on and on. What strange things happen here?

[ Well, Kotomi's dreams are sometimes weird too. So she doesn't think much of it. But the moving dolls in her room sound pretty scary.. ]

Um.. well, sometimes at night there's this weird feeling, like I'm.. drowning or something. [ .. hmm.. her expression turns a little more downcast. ] I wonder if it has to do with mother and father..

[Not having lungs, Visi can't really comment. She does, however, know what it's like to have a parent.]

What happened to your mother and father?

[ For a moment she's quiet. Her hands on her lap tightly grasp the fabric of the sheets, and when she speaks up her voice isn't as blank as it usually is. ]

They.. had an accident. And because of that, they both sunk to the bottom of the sea.. and died.

[Visi is also quiet for long moments.]

I see.

[She gently puts the tip of her forelimb on Kotomi's shoulder.]

I would be sad if my parent died, too. It must have been horrible.

IT'S SO CUTE YET SO WRONG.

It was really weird and scary to suddenly have them not be there anymore.. and.. it was really lonely too, since I didn't have any siblings or friends..

[ So she just sat inside 24/7 reading books. And this is why wouldn't even be alarmed by something looking like Visi.. ]

.. I don't like that time at all.

AHAHAHA A GIRL AND HER FLESHFRIEND...

I haven't lived for long, and this is the longest I have been away from my parent. I... miss their encompassing protection and encouragement, but it is exhilarating to be out on my own.

[etudes]

Isn't missing them the worst though..? [ Kotomi's never wanted freedom. She's the kind of obedient girl who would prefer being sheltered and protected by the people close to her forever rather than having to do anything on her own. Somehow that only makes Visi more amazing though.. ] You aren't scared?

[carneouspuella]

I don't really understand fear.

[She pushes herself off the bed.]

It's unnerving and dangerous here. I think it must be like that. And I think... it wouldn't be so bad, if I could go home to their all encompassing love.

... Is it like that?

[etudes]

[ .. Don't.. understand it? Could it be that she's just never felt fear before? For someone like Kotomi, who wibbles at the slightest thing anyone says to her, it's almost impossible to imagine what it's like to not know fear, really.. ]

Yeah.. it's like that. You've never felt that..? Not even one moment?

[She thinks.]

No... not at all.

.. You're.. brave. I could never do something like that.. [ She stares down at the covers. ] I actually feel that sort of thing a lot..

[carneouspuella]

Try to stop feeling it? [She doesn't know if humans can do that, but...] Try to go to a place where you don't feel it.

[etudes]

A place..? [ .. hmm.. ] Well.. I don't think there's a place like that, but.. I have something like it. I don't feel it as much when I'm around Battler-kun, I guess..

[carneouspuella]

Then you should think about how you feel around Battler-kun, then.

But it's not like I can just start that feeling like that.. [ She prods her chest a little, as if that'll make it happen, but of course nothing happens. ]

It only starts during those moments.
