[Her head is lying back in her own apartment, the long black locks slowly turning to gold. There is no safe place to contain it right now, and she can only hope it will be all right for her getting back to it.]

[Her entire body is flesh, now. She is not wearing her shift. The only thing she has with her is her butcher's knife, held securely in the flesh at the end of her arm. She hasn't quite got the hang of hands just yet, but she's getting close.]

[Up and down the corridors she goes, her feet making little sticking sounds as she walks. Every so often, she'll stop, listen, and then collapse into a puddle and attempt to slither under the door of an apartment.]

[Maybe you've just seen her do this. Or maybe you'll wake up to find her staring down at you while you sleep.]

[Who knows.]

Heehee, yours don't feel very hard... It's kinda squishy! Octopus hands!

[ Fortunately, the weird and the weirder don't disturb a girl like Mary. Insistently tugging on Visi's hand, she leads her new acquaintance further into the apartment toward the table. ]

I'm so glad, [ she gushes, ] I thought that it was mostly adults here! They're okay, but it's always better playing with girls!

[Visi lets herself be led, admittedly a little puzzled at what's going on. She never knew for sure but she had always had the impression that most creatures would be repulsed by her incomplete self. The boy she'd met on her first day had cemented that belief. Mary however had just shattered it. She doesn't know what to think at her friendliness, and she blinks a moment in silence after her gushing before responding.]

Is it? Then I hope I can be a good playmate for you... I don't have a lot of experience, you see.

[ Where her appearance did not, the fleshchild’s age shocks Mary. Mouth parting in surprise, she pulls back to curiously appraise her new playmate. ]

Only a few days old…? Wow! Heehee, I’m older than you are because I’m lotsa days old. I guess that makes me the boss, right?

[ She looks to Red Eyes for approval. Unblinking and unflinching, the doll stares at the wall in silence. Mary takes this as agreement and giggles. ]

Well, the boss says…says that it’s time to celebrate your few days old birthday!! This is a birthday party now, okay?! Heehee!

[Visi doesn't really know how to take this. She didn't have a party on her birth day... but she did get a brain. That's sort of similar, right? So she nods, a little hesitant.]
