I.. 'd like to have a twin. [ She lingers on the first word a little as if she spoke up without thinking and then has to make sure what she's saying is okay before she finishes it. ]

It means.. you're never alone.

[She fixes Madotsuki with her unblinking stare for a moment, and then she grabs her hand in his and squelches along the freak show.]

No, you can still be alone.

[desomnia]

.. How..? One half of you is.. always there.. that's not lonely.

[ Her voice is quiet, but even though she lets herself be dragged along by Visi, she doesn't really look directly at the girl. ]

Oh, it is. Sometimes he's not there. He's with someone else.

[desomnia]

But if you're lonely.. you can go see him. No matter what.

[carneouspuella]

[Visi smiles.] You're very sweet.

[...]

I like your legs.

[desomnia]

[ WELL, THAT ESCALATED QUICKLY...

Thankfully Madotsuki is a pretty weird girl, so the subject jump doesn't even seem all that jarring to her. ]

.. They're.. not special. [ Nothing about her is, right? ]

No... no! They're lovely. You should be so pleased with them.

[She raises the edge of her smock, as if the meaty limbs under it weren't visible.]

I want them.

[desomnia]

[ Whereas anyone else might have gotten the general gist of this, Madotsuki is still thinking of it a little too simply. Not that she doesn't move away from the "girl" a little all the same, but it's more out of some general fear of people than anything else. ]

But they're mine.

[carneouspuella]

But I need them more.

[She begins to advance.]

[desomnia]

... Go away..

[ It's said softly, but there's something more to her voice as she says it, taking a step backwards. ]

[carneouspuella]

[She sticks an arm into her fleshy torso. Around them, the creatures jeer and hiss, spitting up gutteral cries and laughter.

When she pulls her hand out, there is a heavy chopping knife held in her hand.]

Don't struggle or run...

[desomnia]

[ ...

Ah.

She should've known.

It was only a matter of time before a person like this would pop up. Even if she doesn't look like the usual people. But it's the same either way. No matter where you go, people are scary. People are what you should be most afraid of. People's biggest enemy is.. people.

She should've known. She should've known she should've known she should've known she should've known she should've known she should've known..

In less than a moment, her expression changes from the completely blank one to something much more crazed. Her knife appears in her hand right after. ]

I said.. [ Her voice raises. By a lot, compared to how quiet it usually is. ] Go away!

Don't fight back.

[Visi lunges, her knife outstretched, the meat of her body beginning to whip out.]

[desomnia]

[ She's not human. Of course it's noticable, especially now. But it doesn't matter, she doesn't care, all she wants is for the thing to go away, to leave her alone, she doesn't want to be around other people, and she's scared and she's frightened and she's mad.

The moment Visi's knife is anywhere near her, Madotsuki will be quick to counter it with her own knife, metal resounding against metal through the space. ]

[Visi's style of fighting is very much one of hack-and-slash. She has no finesse. But she is strong. When her strike is countered by Madotsuki's, she quickly reverses the cut to throw the girl off balance.]

[desomnia]

[ Visi is stronger than her. Madotsuki realises that too, especially when she can't just stab it easily to get it away from her like she can in her dreams and sometimes even here with the lesser evils in the apartments.

Her mind is still on one thing. She just wants to get away. Avoid people. Avoid trouble. And although it's one solution to a problem (Visi can't cut off what's not there, after all) Madotsuki's thought process is a lot less rational, she just figures it would disgust most people enough to back off.

So as she tumbles after losing her balance and falls over, the knife disappears and in less than a second later, there's only a severed head lying on the floor. ]

[Visi lunges forwards and - trips over the suddenly severed head. She flails, her knife skittering between the bars of a cage, and she falls over.

Her cry is one of surprise rather than hurt. She pushes herself up and stares in confusion at Madotsuki's head.]

[desomnia]

[ Madotsuki's head stares right back. Then it slowly blinks, and it starts trying to roll away like nothing special just happened here. ]

[carneouspuella]

[Visi gets to her feet and follows the head!! This is TOO UNUSUAL.]

[desomnia]

[ ..

After a little while of rolling, the head turns around to look at Visi. ]

... You're.. not scared. [ You're supposed to be so you'll leave her alone.. ]

[carneouspuella]

[Visi grabs both sides of her head. With a wet, squelching sound, she pulls it off.]

I can take mine off too...

[desomnia]

[ Well, that sure was a failed attempt on her part. At least the girl isn't as openly hostile anymore, but even normal conversations like this aren't really Madotsuki's thing - even now, she's still pretty uncomfortable, and it shows in the way she rolls in circles a little. ]

... That's nice for you. [ Wow, so friendly, Maddy. ]
