But would you want to sound rude to a kitsune when they're on home soil and you're not? Politeness goes over well with her, and I couldn't think of anything else to call her that might not've come across as rude when I first went to her shop.

[ Somehow, Shirou didn't quite manage to jump into the same bumper car as her. So he's puttering after her, bumping her car occasionally, in another car entirely.

He looks slightly ill at the sight of all the guts and ghouls.

But she's enjoying herself, so he swallows down his nausea. ]

Now he's standing there with blood slowly dripping down his face from the exploding balloon he won. ]

[ Hmm.. It's a risk, since this person could technically be a bully, but so far he doesn't seem a lot like one.. but she does glance to the left and the right quickly like some sort of terrified animal finding an escape route. In the end she nods at him a little though. ]

I wouldn't exactly have worded it like that myself, but I see your point. I only cut people who deserve it, after all, and that counts for both swordfighting and words.

[ She doesn't look at Visi as she says it, instead staring at the monsters behind bars, blinking slowly. There's almost something nostalgic in her tone. ]

[ Compared to his nausea, Ilya is completely unfazed. In fact, this is probably the most fun she's had in a really, really long time. Which is why she's acting like a complete kid, trying to ram her bumper car as fast as possible into the other ones and over the ghosts while laughing wildly - although it's a happy rather than a malicious giggle. ]

Shirou, you're not going fast enough! [ She looks over her shoulder at him, totally unconcerned as her car drives over more things. ] You need to hurry up or you'll get bumped! That's how it works, right?

Uh, duh. [He gives the guy a thumbs-up and steps into the booth. It's not so bad until he raises the gun to shoot at the targets. That's when he feels the breath at the back of his neck...]

... Um, dude? Not so close? [Naturally, he assumes it's Eddie, and not some onryo invisible to anyone not in the booth.]

Close-? I'm still back here, kid. [In the friendly 'I don't know you, but I'm holding your drink' level of space. Needlessly to say, Eddie is a little less relaxed since something being there is a uncomfortable possibility he can believe.]

[Even with the recognition that filters across her face, Eddie still isn't about to test her on the issue. He keeps his hands away from his axe and body language relaxed, well as it can be.]

Kotomi takes a deep breath, facing the stall, and she meekly asks to play before being given one of the hooks. She actually stands there for quite some time as if deciding which ducky to pick is the hardest thing ever, but she does manage to hook one up from the water. As a prize in return a baloon is shoved into her hands. Not like she knows what it's about to do yet, she's just staring at it and then back to Once-ler. ]

U.. um.. this is.. my prize, right..? It's the very first prize I've ever gotten..

Hmm, sure, sure! [ Ilya is okay with anything either way - it's a carnival! The very first in her life! She's got to see everything either way, so it's fine if Viola picks after her.

She grabs the other girl's hand without asking, dragging her over to the bumper cars to pick one. ]

[ She doesn't remark anything about it again. But honestly, it doesn't change anything. She's alone - she's been for such a long time, and even now she's alone to a point where it all feels so.. useless. Like she could just end it.

[Double pulls a handkerchief out of her sleeve and holds it out to him.]

[He doesn't doubt it. For one, he can hear that Eddie's voice is some decent distance away. Which means...

[He raises the gun in shaking hands and takes a wobbling aim.
