The howl of pain that echoed down the corridor of the fourth floor was inhuman and bone-chilling, but the laughter that followed it wasn't much better. Hysterical and desperate, there was a hint of self-depreciation in it. Mika staggered down the hallway, one hand clutching her left eye as her lips pulled back in a twisted mockery of a smile, her other hand clutching her cane so hard her scarred knuckles had gone bone white. Blood seeped between her fingers as tears of pain streamed down her cheek while she scanned the hall searching for something.

"Very funny, 'daddy,' but that's a horrible trick to play on someone." Her voice was a seething growl between clenched fangs. "I don't think I like your game very much!" Mika's grip on her cane shifted, holding it like a bludgeoning weapon instead of a walking aid. Fur bristling, she raised the cane higher as she sniffed the air.
